Tai Chi is is a non-competitive martial art known for both its defence techniques and its health benefits. It is a fitness regime using the Taoist principles of Yin and Yang to develop a healthy body and tranquil mind.
There is evidence to support the benefits of Tai Chi to reduce stress, improve strength, balance, flexibility and reduce the risk of falls in an older individual.
The great thing about Tai Chi is that it can be adapted for almost anyone. It is low impact and therefore suitable for people with arthritis and can even be adapted for wheelchair users.
Our classes are run by our dual qualified physiotherpiast Elliot Stubbs. They arebeginner classes and we aim for them to be suitable for all.
